Ecrehous : Les Ecrehous is one of our favourite paddling destinations. Almost half way between Jersey and the Normandy coast of France they are delightful archipelago. With a rich and varied history plus diverse wildlife a visit is always a pleasure. Although there are no permanent inhabitants the small huts are used regularly at weekends. Due to their popularity if solitude is sought then mid week in the winter is the ideal time for a visit.

Lihou : Lihou is a beautiful island off the west coast of Guernsey in the Channel Islands. At one time the site of a monastery it was also the worlds largest producer of iodine. Today it is part of a Ramsar site and the house which is run by the Lihou Charitable Trust is agreat place to stay. Photographs were taken by Kevin Mansell and Peter McCann (PM)
